Numeric Racing Pedals Review

I've pretty much been in love with everything Numeric Racing makes ever since I got the Numeric Racing short shifter for the Cayman. Their stuff isn't exactly cheap but they engineer their stuff really well so when they announced pre-orders of their new pedals in October, I jumped on it.

Besides being made completely out of aluminum, they really thought about how to make this work without requiring any drilling or making any irreversible changes. The accelerator pedal completely replaces the factory pedal and not just screwed on top of the factory pedal. The same goes for the dead pedal. The rubber clutch and brake pedal cover come off and the new pedal covers clamp on, secured by 4 bolts each.

Installation is fairly simple but took me about an hour because it was tricky working in the footwell trying to tighten bolts you can't see. I took the car out for a quick spin afterward and I was extremely pleased. The hex pattern they made offered excellent grip against my shoes and the wider accelerator pedal made it much easier to heel-toe downshift.

Overall I'd highly recommend this. I don't think they're as revolutionary or game-changing as their short shifter but these are by far the best aluminum pedal sets I've seen made for water-cooled Porsches.
